SOS: Audit tool not working

I have setup the audit tool as per the "Auditing Setup Guide" in our MS CRM 4.0 environment. Though i have followed all the stepas given in the document, the audit trial is not working. I have setup the audit trial for the Type "account" and with messages create and Update.

No auditing records are getting created when i create a new account or update an existing account. Please let me know if have to do any additional setup, also i want to know how the audit trial works after the setup?
